Provider token required

Create a provider account, wait for access to be approved, then generate a token from the API access page. The endpoint returns a screening outcome and a link to the public search page; it does not return the underlying person-level records.

Endpoint

POST https://fiverify.com.au/api/resources/aged-care-banning-orders

Send a JSON request with a query field. It is required and must be a string between 2 and 120 characters. Searches are case-insensitive, and wildcard characters are treated literally.

cURL example

curl --request POST \
  'https://fiverify.com.au/api/resources/aged-care-banning-orders' \
  --header 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_TOKEN' \
  --header 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  --data '{"query":"Joshua Smith"}'

Example response

{
  "result": "match",
  "status": "In force",
  "link": "https://fiverify.com.au/resources/aged-care-banning-orders?q=Joshua%20Smith",
  "last_extracted_at": "2026-10-03T00:24:00+08:00"
}

Response outcomes

match In force

The query exactly matches a full displayed name or alias and at least one matching order is in force.

match No longer enforced

The query exactly matches a full displayed name or alias, but no matching order is currently in force.

possible_match Status is null

The query partially matches searchable information such as a name, alias, suburb, postcode or ABN. Review the linked results.

no_match Status is null

No current-source record contains the query.

Current restrictions

  • Authentication: send a provider token as an Authorization: Bearer header. Missing, invalid, revoked or inactive-provider tokens receive HTTP 401.
  • Rate limit: 2 requests per minute. A limited request receives HTTP 429.
  • JSON request body: send one query value in the POST body; URL query strings and bulk searches are not supported.
  • Validation: missing, non-string, shorter-than-2 or longer-than-120 query values receive HTTP 422.
  • Summary response: the API returns an outcome and review link, not personal details or a bulk register export.
last_extracted_at is returned in ISO 8601 format using Australian Western Standard Time. It is null until an extraction has completed.
